That is why it remains a relevant, powerful and all-present\nmedia format. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the dominant radio\nmodels - commercial radio, public radio and non-profit radio, with an\nemphasis on student radio as a part of non-profit radio market, as well\nas the ways that these models are complementing the needs of their\naudience and is exploring the need and plan of creating a student radio\nat the VERN\u2019 University. The research presented was conducted in two\nways: the audience was interviewed via polls about the listeners needs\nand habits and the current editors of existing community radio stations\nwere interviewed in structured interviews.
